Name: Re Quip: Djinn Equipment
Caster or Holder?: Caster
Element: Multiple Elemental Magic
Description:
Re Quip Djinn Equipment is a version of Re Quip therefore it follows the Re Quip rules stated HERE This version of Re Quip though has a slight different twist than a normal Re Quip mage might face. The items that this version uses are known as Djinn Equipment, an ancient attempt at mimicking a magic that is similar to Zeref’s Living Magic but instead of drawing out the spirit of the inanimate object and bringing it to life allowing it to become its own being, this magic seems to trap the spirit of a being into an object allowing said object to draw on the essence of the spirit to give birth to powerful types of magic. While this magic was not originally seen as Black Arts by society as it gained popularity and the side effects of the magic became known it would later be reclassified.

The practice of sealing the spirits into the Djinn Equipment seemed to originate in the region of Earthland that is now known as Joya by a single school of witches and wizards. They were said to have created a bountiful of these equipment and sold them across the globe thanks to Joya’s central location in Ishgar. The beings that were sealed in the items though did not just peacefully stay in the equipment but would be able to have their will slowly influence the will of the owner due to the nature of the seal that the wizards used would weaken when the power of the item was drawn on. This caused many users of the equipment to go mad leading to the banning of such items and the Djinn sealing method. Thought the magic was banned and many of the equipment was destroyed, lost, or locked away, few pieces remain still floating around the globe. Many of these equipment were prized by noble families due to the fine craftsmanship and quality of materials and used as heirlooms, such is the case with the Krane family. While their true natures remain a mystery to most that have found one in their possession few scholars have taken a look at the equipment and have noted on the potential that such items possess.

The Djinn Equipment Re Quip is a rather volatile style of re quip. It follows no one set motif and often has weapons that can serve as range, melee, or mid-range. Same can be said about the armors. Really the style of the items that come across this version is solely based on the owner and how they wish to utilize the equipment. The magic is not bound to a certain elemental theme or single magic type but can become different elemental bases and magic types by switching out between the different equipment. By using equipment that has another essence sealed inside also leads to the fact that those that use these items face the possibility of being possessed by their own equipment and losing themselves over a course of time. While using a certain paired set of Djinn Equipment it can cause a third eye like object to form on the forehead of the owner, little is known what this eye serves most speculate that it is the spirit of the equipment attempting to peer into the outside world once more. The notable weaknesses of the magic are of course the constant threat of having one’s mind being taken over by the beings that reside in the equipment, a constant strain on one’s magical pool from switching out equipment, and if a certain item utilizes an element or another magic type then the strengths and weaknesses of that magic will be applied to the equipment.
