As the name might indicate, Water Dragon Slayer Magic grants the user –up to a certain point- absolute dominance over the element of water, capable of manipulating water, generating water, and absorbing water; harnessing it in a similar manner that a water dragon would do so. During initial training of utilizing this magic, the dragon who passed on this magic to the user actually created a magical change in how the body's Magic Origin functioned, therefore causing their body to possess the magical powers of a Dragon - otherwise known as Dragon Slayer Magic. Continuing with this process, the user's magical power acts alongside the energy of the body in order to catalyze a variety of bodily processes when younger, therefore allowing the morphing of their physiology to a point where the user has adopted some physical traits, as well as the element, from the said Dragon. In this case, the dragon who taught the user was a Water Dragon, which granted the user the ability of water manipulation, Dragon-style. In any case, Water Dragon Slayer Magic grants the user characteristics typical of a Water Dragon: lungs capable of spewing water, scales that grant protection against water in general, and nails immersed in water, asserting absolute dominance over the element of water; whether artificial or otherwise- the user can manipulate these elements as much as they wish without any drawback. Like all Dragon Slayer Magics- and Slayer Magics in general- Water Dragon Slayer Magic enables the user to transform his body with features of water, utilizing both offensive and defensive styles, ensuring that their body doubles as a make-shift weapon unique to themselves, thus greatly increasing the damage of their blows; the user has an advantage over even the most powerful Dragon Slayers, as water is easy to find in the world, unlike light, darkness, and thunder. However, their physical attack power suffers because of this.

Due to the user of Water Dragon Slayer Magic having absolute dominance over the element, they are capable of manipulating water to the greatest extent, even able to change the pressure of water in order to instill a rotatory drilling effect within each and every one of their blows, both close-combat oriented and ranged—this also grants the water the potential to become a highly effective cutting weapon which would slice as sharply as any real sword could. Normally, the user's Water Dragon Slayer Magic spells cause blunt damage due to the enormous amounts of liquid concentrated when casting the spells, which allows the user to sweep the opponent away with remarkable force, but the user is capable of harnessing the mighty power of water in any way that they wish; as long as their imagination is vast enough to provide the metamorphosis. As mentioned earlier, the user is capable of manipulating water pressure, allowing the user's techniques to grasp other objects or cutting through without simply parting around them. Since water is incompressible, it can be used as a semi-solid while being able to move and flow like a liquid. In addition to the user's Dragon Slayer Magic giving them the characteristics of a water dragon, their lungs have been modified to enable them to breathe underwater with ease.

As with most Slayer Magics, Water Dragon Slayer Magic has virtually unlimited customization options in regards to the water formed through simple magical manipulation- the colour, properties (not limited to but including heat, smell, and taste), and "feel" is capable of being modified to the user's desires for countless different effects and powers, more often than not being attuned to their own personality and ambitions; their "type" can be changed at will, and they can even be given a material consistency; the user is capable of utilizing the water any way that they wish, whether for offensive, defensive, evasive, or supplementary techniques- as long as they can imagine it being doable, then the sky is the limit, more or less. Like all Dragon Slayers, the user can consume their elements, which in this case, is any source of water to replenish their energy reserves; like other Dragon Slayer Magic, there is a distinct difference between every opponent's Water Magic and regular types of water in terms of taste and rejuvenating quality; meaning that each type of water's health benefits are all drastically different. As well as the added benefits of their elemental advantage, the Dragon Slayer magic gives the user a much greater level of endurance, and the user is endowed with a much more powerful sense of smell than that of a human. Another Dragon Slayer trait is the ability to roar extremely loud like a dragon.

Naturally Water Dragon Slayer is of the water element, and would have that elements type advantages and weaknesses. Water is strong against the fire and ground elements, while being weak to the lightning and plat elements. Also, Water Dragon slayer cannot absorb the spells of other slayer magic, Such as God or Devil Slayer, no matter how strong the user is, or how weak the opponent is.
